Character psychology

What makes a story work, stay memorable and be given as an example years from now are the characters. How do we make a charismatic protagonist? Who are the supporting characters? How do we render the connections between them? All these questions require a psychological approach that benefits both writing and personal therapy. The block in writing is always a psychological block.

The course involves, on the one hand, studying together and commenting on the psychology of famous characters from movies and books (Jay Gatsby, Emma Bovary, Clarice Starling or Amelie Poulain) and then having fun inventing others, finding their psychological motivations and authentic behaviors.
